Season 3, Episode 9: First Competitive Warehouse Visit - Have the producers found another way to screw the fatties?

Started by Mythor · 10 months ago

Previously, on The Biggest Loser… Blue totally whipped Red and Red made a silly/good decision!
With JJ sent packing, Michelle is pretty darn annoyed.
And with Blue in a winning position… Debbie freaks out and is mean to Shannan? Rude!
Would you like to know ... Continue reading »

  • Great to have you back online Mythor. I will sleep easier now that I have had my recap fix. I think I need to get a life. Oh wait, that's why I watch TV, to live vicariously through those on the screen. Sad, so sad.
  • Hey, at least you're not writing three thousand word essays on the show.

    Wait a minute...!

It's good to be back. Hopefully it won't break again before the end of the season now!
  • Michelle! WTF. What a hypocrite! She is all girl power and saying that a girl can win this. Then, when the girls vote out the sexist pig who was antagonising them, she blows up saying how they need the boys to win the challenges and pull big numbers. Way to go, Michelle! *rolls eyes*
  • I think she's kinda hoping one of the girls might get there through hard work, rather than by default. ie; by voting out all the guys on the show. ;)
With JJ gone the chances of them returning to the elimination room next week are very high, because there's a good chance they'll lose the Challenge. Their best bet is to win Temptation and hope The Walk gives them some kind of power over Blue.
    *mumblegrumble* Hate The Walk. :)
  • Eh, the voting is part of the game. She knows that. You have to be there at the end to win. I think it would be an awesome coup if the final 3 are all chicks. You still have to pull out the weight loss to get there.

I don't see why they are a good chance to lose the challenge. I don’t see the fact that they kicked out one poor performing, non team player bloke as an indication that they will lose the challenge. The main perpetrator of the discontent in the ranks has gone. Maybe now they can get together and act like a team.
  • Well I guess it depends. If it's one of the brains-not-brawn challenges they'll be fine. If they need to pull an aircraft again they might struggle! :)
I agree though that it was best for team unity to dump JJ. I still don't know why Cosi picked Sheridan and to a lesser extent, Rachel, since he knew there'd be friction there. I bet he rues that decision now!
  • Most of the challenges I have seen, both teams tended to struggle regardless of the composition of the team! ;-P

Well, Sheridan is a big personality and feisty which can be a big advantage.
Rachel, he didn't have a lot of choice. It was her or the obviously injured dude.
  • You can recover from an injury, though! ;)
  • You can also be sent home or have it niggling for the rest of the series.
  • True. But a personality clash is probably only going to get worse, that's what I meant by that. :)
  • I thought that Michelle was downright mean to Rachel. It was hardly her fault that she wasn't voted out, and that stupid prat JJ lost less than 4kg anyway. Good riddance to him. Ya reckon that Rachel is the one who (supposedly - rumour has it) walks away from the show?
  • Well, Rachel could have voted for someone not JJ, thus forcing a tie. Though I expect JJ would have been who Blue would've chosen anyway!
JJ lost so little because he'd started exercising and losing weight prior to the show. It's admirable in the sense that he's clearly taking it seriously... but stupid in terms of winning the game.

I don't know that Rachel will walk away but I wouldn't be surprised to see her fall on her sword if they lose the elimination again. The Red Team girls don't need her anymore to form a majority, so they can afford to dump her if she's not going to give 100%.

With what's been going on I wouldn't be surprised if it's Debbie who walks away, if anyone does!

P.S. There's no need to think of something profound to write in response to me being Quote of the Day. I'm banned for the day anyway. ;)
  • Banned? Ha! Wotcha do to get yourself banned?
  • (thinking) Maybe I shouldn't have laughed ... maybe Mythor is gutted ...
  • Heh, naw, I don't care, I've had other stuff on my mind too much today anyway. :-)

I made an extremely sarcastic joke post in response to someone dispensing extraordinarily dangerous "medical advice". My joke was apparently in such bad taste that it didn't come off particularly amusing. And it had a link to a (benign) Wikipedia article. So I was liek, omg double banned!! Or something.

I assume I'll be back tomorrow afternoon some time. Until they find some other lamewad reason to slap me with a ban. :)
  • Gawd! With all of the trolls to take care of, I wouldn't have thought they'd have picked on you! Ah well ... too bad - too sad! I might be next then, especially if I'm too nice to someone. heh.
  • Laughing here - You do realise that you have the quote of the day don't you Mythor? Your comment on how just because people are overweight doesn't mean that they have to like all foods. (badly paraphrased). Banned, but quoted. How ironic.
  • Yes, didn't I say something in the comments here? Somewhere?
But yes, I saw almity's post about that and laughed pretty hard. The forum's golden boy got banned! HA! :)
