I knew Sam could do it :D
even before the series started and there was the add with sam talking about his uni life and everything, I knew right then. He seems smart, funny, bright (and attractive even before he lost the weight!)
I am overweight myself and I know what he would have gone through.

Well, Sam COULD win. In the TV Week interview with Cosi, he says Sam's hardly eating anything now and getting ready for the finale. So if he starves himself like Chris did last year, he's got a great chance to win. But.. at what cost?

Good post. You make some great points that most people do not fully understand.

"One person who claimed to know Sam, in a topic that has since been deleted, said that Sam is actually studying something to do with Sports Science, which might explain why heÃ¢ï¿½ï¿½s being ridiculed - people his size only have three places in sport. Discus, Shot Put and Sumo.
On the up side, if he is studying such things at university, he should have a leg up when it comes to understanding why heÃ¢ï¿½ï¿½s asked to do certain things in training, which might make it easier for him to stay motivated."

I also was privileged to work with Sam- and i believe it was exactly that, a privilege! This gorgeous young man is one i would be so proud to parent!
I found him to be very respectful (which is almost impossible to find in young adults his age) and soooo funny, i loved the days he was rostered with me cause i knew it was going to be a good one with him around! He is a smart, hard working guy and i know good things are going to come his way, all who know him would believe he deserves it. IÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ve no doubt all will love him as the show continues.
Congats to Sam, i know you can do it! CanÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t wait for that beautiful soul to shine on the outside!! DonÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t forget the people who love you for who you are now, as you grow you will see they are the only ones whoÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s comments are important.

I was privileged enough to work with Sam. He is a very sensitive, polite and genuine person. He has a wonderful sense of humour!!! When you work with someone you tend to see all there sides with Sam what you see is what you get. He shields himself with a quietness but once he is comfortable with you, you will get warts and all. Like most people

How nieve are you people!!! It doesnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t matter how old you are people are still judgemental at any age. We live in a very shallow society and if you donÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t fit the mould you are talked about!!! Teasing can come in many forms, it doesnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t just stop in the school yard!!! come on, wake up to the real world, as much as we would like to believe we all mature once we are out of school I am sad to say most people are the same 10, 20, 30 years later.
