Damien’s a little concerned about the weigh-in because it’s been an up and down week for training this week. (Ha haaa! Get it! Up and down? Nevermind.)

    LOL, PR0N :D

that was the weirdest weigh-in ever :(

    Ha, actually I wasn't thinking pr0n, I was thinking about the upstairs-downstairs suff. ;)

are the contestants pre-weighed before they tape the weigh-in? marty should have gone first having immunity but it made a dramatic moment at the end. it seems as though their weights are known beforehand and they are ordered for to create some drama. why can't munnalita go below that line? i don't want to see marty go because it would make courtney/pati/munnalita happy but i definitely don't want to see damien go. argh!

Since I realised this, the weigh-ins have no suspense, as the dramatic ones are either the last 1 , or maybe 2 people to weigh.

It seems Munna and Courts will be there till 2012, seems like to me anyway. I cannot even imagine them kicked out.

I wish they'd just get rid of Damien, he's always propping up the bottom of the ladder.

The jet set promo footage looks exactly like New Zealand. Hopefully, they will get the contestants running up some real big hills!

What's going on with the "journey of discovery"? As my sister commented last night:

"This isn't Race Around the Biggest Loser".

This season has had way too many "surprises" for my liking. Bringing in "new" people to replace those who left for medical reasons, bringing back an eliminated contestant, having outsiders, the whole "walk" thing, and now they're sending them on a holiday for a week.

I *so* should have come to this blog sooner *g*

As per The FAQ yes, the contestants are weighed in before they get into the big weigh-in room. David Hilyander from the first season confirmed it on the official forums and various other S1 people have mentioned it in interviews and so on. They don't get told their weight prior to getting into the big room so that their reactions can be as genuine as possible.

I knew in advance that two people were going to have gained weight so when I saw them leaving Marty for so long I realised why. Obviously the intent was to surprise the home audience who would have seen the ads saying that ONE person had gained and then shock horror it's really two! ;-D

Ahh but he's usually near the bottom but losing weight and he needs to lose weight so much more than the others. Even though I doubt he's much of a chance of winning, I want him to stick around for his own health as much as anything else.

I'm fairly sure it's New Zealand, yes. I'd expect it to be Queensland except I believe they've mentioned something about passports and unfortunately, Queensland isn't a whole other country. ;)

They did the journey of discovery stuff last year as well, though it was much later in the process. I believe they were down to 4 at that point, not 6 like they will be this week.

I think a lot of people have gotten annoyed at all the dicking around that's been going on with eliminating people for no good reason and introducing people for no good reason. I can kind of see the point in bringing in Laura and P'eta because of the medical issues and those two were both early enough in the game that it wasn't ridiculously unfair... Unlike the Chris/Kim duo being brought in when they were down to 6 at last!

    Yes, yes you should've! ;-P

I still find them suspenseful in terms of who'll do big numbers and so on but yes, it's obvious the order is decided based on what the producers think will give the biggest surprises to the Fatties and the home viewers.

Yeah, but the way he was scoffing down those chocolates, he clearly hasn't taken the message on board. It's even more annoying given that he's told every week that 'he needs to be there' and slacks off/stuffs his face.

I'd be pretty annoyed if I was Greg, seeing all these useless-types left.
